Hard disk errors are typically caused by power outages, hardware failures, poor system maintenance, viruses, or human error. To fix disk errors, you can use the Chkdsk tool found in Windows operating systems.
Type the following commands in order and press Enter after each one to repair the system files. You want to see existing errors, use CHKDSK /f command, you want recover readable information from back sectors, use CHKDSK /R, and dismount problematic disk, use CHKDSK /X. Hopefully, the fixes in the list will help identify and fix the software issues if they are responsible. If none of the fixes work, follow the error window instructions and contact your manufacturer.
